I love bondo
Bondo is some odd stuff, but it's cool.

I painted it with some left over blue paint to see how it would look pianted, and it looked like crap so I resanded with 400 grit sand paper.

Yeah I hate when I paint something and see some crap in the paint that makes me re-paint the whole thing.

I want one of those super high gloss paint jobs. Can I sand the paint with 800 grit sandpaper, and then put the clear coat on it, so it's glossy?

1000+ isnt coarse enough of a tooth for clear... I's stick with 600-800 grit block sanding, tack rag it, wax and grease remover... then clear. wet sand your clear with 1000-2000 (cutting) and then buff it.

lookin good

Just curious, when you used the bondo to fill in the floppy drive.. what did you put behind it to save on the fill?

I tried doing that and had a hell of a time filling it all in.
