Project: Big things come in small packages

Then i moved on to the cross bar.

Before sending it for paint, I had drilled several holes so that I could mount some cable clips inside it.
That ended up being quite the task! Holding the tiny nuts in place on the inside with pliers turned out to be quite the ordeal. Just this took me over an hour to complete.

The clips have been modified so that I don't have to unscrew them again. They fit nicely in between, so i cut 1 of the screw hole pieces off. This will allow for cables to be slid in easily, but will require so effort to remove. Exactly what I need.

Next came the pump and reservoir.
They both fit in there nicely, but i had some work to get the case foot under the pump installed. One thing I didn't notice before was that I would have to put a hole through the bottom of the foot so I could screw the pump into place.

Nothing major, just overlooked it in the first place.
Once they were both mounted, I proceeded to run my first tube for the build.

Then came the motherboard.
It has also been fastened with socket head screws from MDPC.

Next I started to plug in cables and ran the pump to CPU tube
the 4 pin motherboard connectors have been attached to the case using 2 clips and some socket-head screws.

More cables

While I was at it, I decided I should mount the fan cable extensions permanently instead of letting them hang loose. The extensions I used were Gellid y split PWM fan cables. They are both plugged in to separate headers on the motherboard.
As you can see here, I used 2 cable clips to guide the fan cables up and out.
The lower one is pointing inwards, and the upper one is pointing outside. This allowed me to keep the cables in a natural bend.

Next up was the video cards so I could continue with the tubing.

Do to the compact nature of my build, several things need to go together like a jigsaw puzzle. Nothing is more apperent to that than my Revodrive. It has to sit directly beside one of the video cards, and therefore is directly below a fitting.
I was pretty concerned about it, so before buying the drive I brought the mobo and video cards in to the store to test fit it.
It was a damn good thing too, because there was only about 1 or 2mm of space left.

So in goes the Revo

followed by the video cards.

you can see here how little clearance there is.

Used my black thumbscrews from MNPCTECH to hold the cards in place. These look great for this build!

The mess!

This is as far as I got last night.
Tonight I hope to complete the loop, sleeve the power/reset/speaker cables, as well as the power cable for the pump and the UV light inside the res.

I was also given a 200 gift card today, so it looks like I'll be getting my CPU this weekend.
Just waiting for local 2700k availability.

She's almost done! By this time next week I hope to be playing battlefield 3.

It looks amazing so far. Cool to see a water setup fit into that tiny case. Can't wait to see the finished product.

You must be either the most patient person alive or have the smallest hands! :D

Just a fantastic job of getting this build together!

Indeed - you must have massive patience - that gives me hand cramps just looking at it - let alone trying to do it.

thanks guys.

I guess I have smallish hands. I'm not necessarily the most patient of people though. I just like having a unique computer.

Here's the latest update. I should have posted these a few days ago.
the loop has been filled for 5 days now and the computer has been running for 3.

prepping to fill the loop, I made sure I have plenty of paper towel down

After the loop was filled there was still the matter of getting the power, reset, LED cables sleaved, along with the power cord/switch for the light and the cable for the pump.

It was a lot to cram in there, but it managed to fit everything in nicely.

Here it is being fired up for it's first run

CPU idle between 17C and 26C according to coretemp.
GPU's both idle at around 45C according to AiSuite II
