I've sort of been tossing this case around for awhile now (probably had it almost a year) and I've been dying to use it as my first mod project, and my first water cooling project. I've got some old pictures that I took when I bought my Aquamini R120, it was sort of shaddy because I didnt have any time to actually finish/fix anything. Hopefully this real mod will be successful.

Some pics of the old Aria:
The first buildup
My awesome Over-Head PSU!
The old setup...
The new PSU, and a new idea.
Hmm.. Fits nicely there, but those cables..
And a better shot of the Aquamini R120

And a few pics of the new-in-progress Aria:
Side mounted 2x120mm Rad as well as the 4 fans
Aria 2
Aria 3

People have watercooled these, but they were still on the warm side, and I want to see if I can get the temps down even further. Most people are internal however, and I dont recall anyone using anything but 80mm rads (correct me if Im wrong, I've only seen 3 or 4 watercooled Arias so far).

Components for the Mod:

HW Labs Black Ice Extreme II 240mm Rad
4x120mm Coolermaster Blue LED Fans - 22db 43cfm rated
MAZE4 LowProfile GPU Block
Undecided on a CPU Block at this time
Swiftech Micro Hi-Flo Res
DangerDen DDC 12v Pump
Tubing will be 3/8ID
Antec Aria

What I'm going to be cooling is a bone stock A64 3700+ Sandy and an eVGA 6800GS. Currently with the junky cooling I have, overclocking isnt even a dream. Hopefully that can be resolved with this setup.

Please note, progress on this project will be rather slow, as Im still extremely busy, but have a lot more motivation this time around to actually finish the job and make it look nice.. The first was just a mock-up of locations really.

it would be better all internal but as i am learning it is a tight fit....

Just fitting the controller for my LCD was hard enough. I thought about water but this is going to be a non OCed 3000+ 939 (just got for $33) with cool n' quite and running as a media server with 3 tv tuner cards and 1 GB of RAM 250gb hdd.

I cannot imagine building a shuttle...

I originally was planning for internal, but when the 240mm rad arrived at my door, it was bigger than anticipated lol, external with that rad is my only option, either that or buy a new case or rad.. Which I dont want to do unless this totally flops. I like the LCD btw.

thanks,

Yeah i have a 240mm BIP on top of my Lian Li PC-7B so i cant imagine it in an ARIA...

Welp, I misplaced my wallet so for now the buying gets to stop until I get my new credit card.. Which may take up to two weeks! All the motivation was too good to be true I guess. So on-hold goes the project lol.

However, when I do get my new master card, I'll be ordering my pump, gpu and cpu blocks, probably 10ft of tygon (not entirely sure how much I actually need.. But I figure having to much wont hurt), I may also buy a passive northbridge heatsink and cut a few tabs off because of where my videocard sits, in an effort to silence my Aria. A few other minor things are on the list of things to buy, like a few barbs and hose clamps, and then some 4" CCFLs just to add to it.. I like blue, and my Aria will be BLUE when its done. Hopefully I can do it tastefully though, as I've seen some nicely done lighting jobs, but also some bad ones.
