Programs Crashing

For about three days almost every program I open comes up with the Windows error thing where you can send an error report or hit don't send. Most of the programs I can hide this screen and the program continues to run, but it happens everytime I start the program like AIM, Firefox, IE, YIM, XFire. Does anyone have any idea what is wrong with my computer? I've run like 8 virus/spyware scans and cleaned out everything, and the problem persists.
Any help is appreciated, thanks.
 
memtest @ stock speed / voltages everything and see if still crashes?
