I have a server that I would rather not boot from disc and restart, but would like to test its RAM to make sure it is not faulty. Is there an application that can test RAM for problems that runs within Windows, but also does not require an install. I am looking for something just just executes and does its thing, much like Prime95.

Thanks!

Not a good idea, not at all. There are too many variables involved, and the process of testing could end up basically pooching the entire system. There's no way to adequately test system RAM when a full blown OS is in operation, period. Booting off a CD/DVD/USB stick/etc with memtest86 or memtest86+ is the best solution (or use the memory test included on the Vista/Windows 7 installation media also - not as thorough or mature as the others, but it's acceptable in a pinch).

Many servers I've seen come with Windows-based diagnostic utilities, but I wouldn't bother with them, to be honest, for the reasons why Joe Average stated.
