Program to record live .ASX stream

[USF-Nealio]

So my GF graduates from Law School tomorrow, and I just found out that there is a streaming webcast of the ceremony. I'm trying to figure out a way to record this stream even though I won't be home when it starts. I know the file path of the stream, but it's not yet active.

The file path is: http://gpiis03.law.stetson.edu:8080/grad_051212.asx

What options do I have? I've tried using GAS (GET ASF Streams), and it errors out with 404 [Not Found] since the stream isn't yet available.

You can use VLC Player to read a MMS stream into a file.

a little while back a friend wanted me to capture the streaming of her sons HS track meet, and i was unable to do it with myriad of stream capturing methods....

i finally found that use of a screen capturing program works best in these scenarios.

fraps works wonders but cant encode while recording, so if its going to be very long you might be better off with something else.

theres another program called wondersoft video converter that does the trick very nicley.....
