Processor/Motherboard sandwich plate

This probably isn't a new idea (though I have yet to find anything like it) and I'm sure that processor manufactures would most likely be against the idea because they would not make as much money in the rare case that a pin does break, but why not make a plate with pins on both sides to sandwich between the two, wouldn't it be much cheaper and easier as a consumer to just replace the plate if a pin breaks instead of the processor? With the upcoming of faster and more expensive processors I think the idea should at least be considered.
