Process Line-IN Audio?

[godsfshrmn]

I have my satellite radio coming into my line-in headphone plug on my motherboard. Is there any software out there with some type of equalizer or other audio processing that is able to take that line in and improve the quality? It sounds almost like a cassette tape

Are you using the motherboard's audio or a sound card?

I'm using the motherboard audio. I don't have a sound card yet.
