got a 9450 yesterday and put it in my 780i and did a clean install of v64, all updates and hotfixes, no sp1. i had just automatically set it to 3600mhz and was running a few hours and decided to stoke up orthos. it immediately failed blend. so i tried small ffts (for cpu) and it ran fine for 30 minutes (when i stopped it) and tried large ffts (ram) and it failed immediately, again. this was unusual because my rma is g.skill ddr2 1000 and it was running @ only 900. so i unlinked the ram and set it at 800mhz and it still failed. i tried some tracer 800 and this failed also. when i lowered the clock speed to 3500mhz, both rams passed at 800mhz. why would the clock speed have any effect on whether the ram passed orthos at 800mhz? could this be a mainboard problem? everything else seems to run fine at 3600, vantage, tf2, crysis, bioshock. except orthos large ffts. i thought it might be the 4gb bullshit but this happens even with 1 stick of ram. could it be some windows crap? i, for one, am stymied at this point.
 
typical...use higher NB and CPU PLL/VTT voltages. However, be careful as increasing the latter 2 will potentially damage your CPU and board.
