Hey guys I am having a problem with my first built computer...basically its not working out for some reason. I built it and it was working great unti I powered off windows and then shut the power switch in the back and then went out. When I came back home and tried to turn it on it wouldnt come on. I checked everything even did shot guning and nothing worked it still glows the power led on the motehrboard. I dont know what to do next so if anyone has any suggestions let me know thank you very much.

what are you drunk?

(you tried a shotgun???) :p

Do you know how to clear cmos?

btw, this belongs in the hardware forum

I think by shotgunning he meant he tried to trip the motherboard on without the power switch. You should get this moved to General Hardware and you would probably get more responses.

test the PSU first, power it up without the motherboard, and make sure its alright.

if that is fine clear the CMOS

if that still doesnt work unplug everything but the motherboard, disconnect everything from it, if it boots, systematically add devices until you find the problematic device.
