problems with the soundstorm help :o

sometime when playing games, the sound starts to warp, and sound kinda crackly, is this a common problem? how can it be fixed? if you just restart it goes back to normal, the strange thing is, if your in the soundstorm control panel and you test sound, with midi it works fine, so the issue is some sound works, some doesnt :(

help!
