So i'm setting up a workstation for a friend, and everything has been going just fine. Got her dell 3007 in last week and were setting it up. It comes up fine, and seems to be working just fine. The monitor is recognized by the system, but when I go to install the installation drivers disk it will not recognize that a monitor is attached. I realize that it could perform fine without them, but she's being very anal. I tried with another videocard and had the same problem.
Specs:
Dell Precision 490
2x Xeon dual core
4gb fbdimm
6800gto and 7800gt
I'm thinking it might have something to do with the video cards being older technology? But at the same time they both put out the highest resolution on the display, it's just the driver cd wont recognize the monitor being plugged in.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
