Problems with storage drive

I unpluged my storage drive yesterday and when i plugged it back in ever since when its plugged in I get BSOD saying Machine_Check Error what does this error mean and why am i getting it i have tried differnt cables I have not tried it in a differnt computer but what could be causeing this. If it helps its a Maxtor Diamond Max 10 IDE 200GIG

Well it turns out it is something to do with my mobo i just stuck it in my file server and no problem so I'll just use it like that for right now and order a sata for my good comp
