It appears that my 18+ boxes that are running console are not reporting. Logs look fine to me, but no points are being sent. I have noticed this since Friday when every update nothing was going through. The only thing that's sending is my SMP's. None of the consoles :( I have checked around on the Stanford Forums and found a thread about missing points and WU's. If anyone has an more info on what I should look into I would e very greatful. How can I check whats in que if anything? Thanks in advance

Have any of those boxes actually been able to upload their WUs? Lots of people (myself included) have had trouble uploading WUs to Stanford lately.

Stanford has been having slight issues with their servers.
Give it another week or so and report back.

it can either be that the server for your wu's is down or i have also seen it happen where it will never send it. i had a machine once that tried to send a wu for a month. i deleted the wu and i have never seen it happen again but it is unlikely that all of your boxen have an error.

Unless new security programs at work are stopping the results to be sent, but the SMP boxes seem fine. Damn, I got to figure things out tomorrow.

I had a smp box at work who are unable to send a WU so I forced him to send. It worked after 4-5 attempts with fah -send #.

The rest is ok and chugging points :D

Ok, on all my boxes, I had to upgrade to Symantec 10.2. I see 10.2 has this tamper protection and I have been doing research. I think this Tamper Protection may be blocking F@H. Not sure, I guess I need to try it to confirm

Kick the Symantec shit out and it will work fine, trust me ;)

Not that I wanted to see your ppd jump back :D

I can't hold you off for long anyway even when running top notch. In a few months I will be adding atleast 2 quad cores and 2-3 more 6600's atleast.
I disabled the tamper protection on a box that's ready to produce a WU in 2 hours and I will let you know if it's the problem

Don't say too fast you will bring the white flag ;) Most of the SMP boxes are borrowed work boxes until they are assigned to the right guys. Those boxes won't be folding for weeks. The only guaranteed PPD I can control is around 2500-3000.

I will not let you pass me.
For C2D's I have one real machine e6600
For other C2D's I have 3 IBM's rolling SMP

Well still have a good bit of boxes that need to send work. How Can I force the client to send work using the console version, and also see what is in queue? Thanks in advance!

-queueinfo will show what is in the queue.
-send X to force to send WU X (rank in queue).

That's what I use when I see some struck WU.

Thanks for the tip. My work machine had two completed WUs in the queue, and so far, I've been able to get it to return one using this method.

Someone explain the method to my noob ass :) All my consoles are running as a service so I would stop the service, and then does this -queueinfo go into the command line like
C:\fold\fah.exe -console -local ?

Easiest would be to bring the command line window (Start menu - Run - type cmd then hit ok to open it).In this window, move to your folding folder then type fah -queueinfo and it will show it. for the sending stuff, always use fah with the parameter (fah -send 5 or fah - configonly, etc...).

Because I helped ya, I'm feeling I need to get you in a battle... Let's say that by may 15th, the one who are ahead of the other win this one. Ready to fight ??? (I picked this date since with my current PPD, the overtake date is may 9th but anything can happen).

I've had the same problem with my non-smp box. It's been taking a day or 2 for the wu to get reported. It got sent just fine, just took awhile to get accredited.

I have been having issues with this as well. The places it hangs at in the log make me think the computer itself or the client is at fault, but seeing this thread reassures me.

Almost all my folders run Symantec 10.2 as well, but I discovered a regular client that was failing to upload this morning which is running with no AV. Just a plain XP installation with nothing but F@H on it, so I ruled this out. Only thing tamper ever seems to give me trouble with is if another AV is on the machine, or certain anti-spyware/malware applications.

Hopefully Stanford gets their issue resolved soon. I'm sure there's a number of boxen out there that just keep trying to upload and get nowhere.

The last stalled WU from my work machine finally uploaded. Yay!

MrMike Maybe its Stanford, most WU's are going, but a few boxes are not sending. Time will tell, sorry for the late response been busy :(
