Problems with my headset mic

So i have a logitech headset, dont know model but its not high end, anyways whenever i use sound recorder in windows, it works fine it sounds perfect, but whenever i used the test hardware in the windows control panel under sounds, speech and audio devices it starts out as static for a brief moment and then it makes a really loud like crashing sound and it just gets louder idk whats wrong it works fine in sound recorder, it also does the same noise in team fortress 2 settings and i cant get it to work in game. Can anyone help me?

Also its using a 3.5mm jack and i have Realtek HD because thats what my laptop has
