Problems with Microsoft Explorer mouse in fps

I can't play ut2004, painkiller or doom3 because the mouse won't respond.
It stutters and the computer starts beeping an error code. I have the current version
of the intellipoint software. Any suggestions?

1 gb pc2700

mic explorer mouse usb

1. Uninstall all software related to the mouse.
2. Find the original packaging of the mouse.
3. Put the mouse back in original packaging nice and tight.
4. Give the mouse to your grandma.
5. Get a Logitech MX500 or 510.
6. Plug the Logitech. (don't install anything)
7. Enjoy.

Another, lower-end solution would be to try the mouse in the usb port if its in the ps2 or the other way around (yes you will need to find the light-green ps2-usb adapter).

Thanks for the reply, but except for fps, the mouse works fine.
I already tried switching from usb ps2 and back again. I suppose I'll just uninstall it
and reinstall it.

the p4 might be y its beeping but anyway dont get a iexplorer 4.0 cause u cant game with taht one i have a unused one just sitting in my parts drower and went back to my mx 700
