Problems with GPU Client

I was running 6.5 without the CCC and I was using ATI Tools to set the 3d clocks. Everytime apparently I was able to reach to 85th frame and then it'll just fail to go on any more... more than three times already... Am a little frustrated becasue per frame its taking me around 6 mins or so...

So far = 6x(3x85) mins has been wasted... I've decided to pull back on the GPU Client until it gets a little bit more stable hopefully within few more days or so. Right now I'm back to 6.9 and am not GPU folding at the moment but you can bet your ass I'm folding my CPUs away...

Anybody else have similiar issues?

Side note: I've tried redownloading the GPU Client, deleting the cores, etc... Nothing seems to be working greatly at the moment. Only thing will work well is if I'm getting one pointer WU which I chew through it in no time but I haven't been getting one for a long while so... GPU Folding is out for me right now. Am a little glad it's not allowed for HFC now :D

happens to bunch of people. client still running, just stops counting up from 85 on up.

leave alone, client will finish

With the 220 poitn WU's, GPU's would loose easy. With the 1 point WU's, just a huge mess and I'd assume due to weighting GPU would win.

Being most are having hard time with GPU's, whoudl be pretty frigging easy to win!

I have that same problem. If you let it sit for a while, it will eventually finish. It has taken my client anywhere from half an hour to three hours to finish after the 85th work unit.

However, i still think my GPU is putting off more PPD than a 3200 venice at stock speeds.

this is all beta, so yes there's bugs.. As been noted, after 85 it stops printing the progress but it IS working, just, out of sight... And, as for PPD, the points are really not finalized or weighted properly.. whats important is that the GPU client, even if producing the same awarded POINTS, is doing 30X the amount of work than any CPU we have can... they're not going to award 30X the amount of points though because it would 'alienate' CPU folders.. Run the beta client for the sake of beta testing and the sake of stepping ever so closer to a cure... the points system will be figured out in due time.

Although 30x220=6600...wouldn't be a bad days work :)

might even get mary03 to join in :p

Aha damn it... I guess I can reinstall it and bleh, bleh... But I'm going to game a lot... After all this is why I got this card... I'm gonna play some games this weekend and eh... I don't feel like going back to 6.5 once again.

6.10b seems to be working okay with the fixes we put in the 0.6 core. We haven't seen reports of widespread EUE's for quite some time now.

Off topic, but when you say 6.10b, does the "b" stand for beta or is there a second revision of the 6.10 beta drivers? I am not exactly sure if I need newer beta drivers to fold.

AtomicMoose and Kyle hooked me up

really.....

Huh, well I asked Kyle too. Moose is always taking credit for my good doings. ;)

ohh hey, did you work on the PS3 project too? Just curious in overall more flops will be coming out of the GPU's vs. PS3. Not therotical, just "usable" FAH flops.

guess no one warned you about the moose reach-through mike...>.>
*is so bold as to pull mike houston into our world of strange bizzare jokes on these DC forums*

We can't talk about this until things are released, but the other FAH folks did the work with Sony, I was dealing with ATI.

Maybe we can get you a custom title to make up for it. "I wear a dress" would be a good one... :p
