Problems with Ghosting

I just installed a GeForce FX 5600 Ultra into my machine. After I turned on the computer and let it fully boot up I noticed that the screen had a ghosting, or shadow, effect. Thinking this may be something wrong with the monitor I took out the new card and put in the old one again. No ghosting with the old card. So I tried the new card again and got the ghosting once again. Does anybody have an idea of what may be going wrong? The current Nvidia drivers that are installed on the machine are 51.2xx. I am affraid to update them because according to sources the new driver package screws up wolfenstein. Any help would be appreciated in the matter.

Well... If there's a problem you don't want with a newer driver, then try one older. That's what I'd do. In a case like this, don't worry about what performance claims they give for the driver, just worry about whether it works, you can worry about performance later. Don't just try the previous driver, but, maybe a couple before that. Just pick what works best with what you're using the card for (what games basically).
