Problems with dvd-rw

Just recently I have been having a problem with my DVD-RW. It still burns disc's just fine but it won't read them thru the windows explorer. I get the following error:

G:\ is not accessible.

Incorrect Function.

Now, I went and checked my event viewer and it is logging a ton of errors from that drive for some reason. Between 11:06:08PM and 11:16:07PM there are 24 errors. They all read as follows:

An error was detected on device \Device\CdRom8 during a paging operation.

Event ID: 51

Any help would be great. Thanx!

Change the IDE cable, make sure you're using standard MS IDE drivers for the channel.
