I'm sure this is a video card/display problem so that's why i'm posting here, instead of games.

I recently installed a new hard drive and re-installed CS:S, I had a little trouble with the skins being all shiny and looked it up on steam's site, to find it was a nViDia problem? :( So I changed what they suggested and the skins went back to normal.

But now I notice that certain things on the map are acting wrong, such as in the house in Italy, (not hostie house) the top of my gun begins to flash, almost blink.

Also on office when coming from the CT spawn toward the garage door that doesn't open the iceicles hanging form it appear and disapear.....

I have a Radeon 9800 Pro with windows XP, with catylist installed and the rest of the ATI drivers from their website

I heard that the XP drivers from ATI's website don't work, thoughts?

Sorry about the spelling and maybe sentences, it's early and I haven't had coffee.

I give you the bump because someone here should know and you are almost off the first page!

I used to get the blinking gun thing with beta Catalyst drivers. But I'm assuming you're using the official Cat 5.1s? You might try Omega drivers or older Catalyst ones.

Thanks for the bump, i installed the drivers that came with the video card itself, so that shouldnt be it? but idk i'm just a n00b.

The drivers that come with the card are usually old. Uninstall those and try the latest Cat 5.1s off of ATi's website.
