I'm unable to boot with the rig I've built for my son. The specs are below:
Abit AV8
A64 3500+ .130
Corsair XMS PC3200C RAM
Radeon 9800 Pro
Antec TrueBlue 480W PSU
When I try to boot, it fires on, turns off, then flickers back on again. When it comes back on, the boot codes are:
3
83 (?)
86
F
3
0.2
Just turning on the power without booting gives me 3, then 0.2. I heard there may be an issue with TruePower Antec PSU's, but the only other PSU I have handy was a generic 350W PSU. When I use it instead, I get:
3
0.2
8E
90
Then it just sits at the 90 not doing anything. No video signal at all.
I've tried all the normal stuff. Everything is unplugged except the PSU, one stick of RAM, the CPU, HSF and video. I never get any video signal. I've tried booting without the video card, but get nothing but beep codes then. I've reseated the video card and RAM several times. Does anyone have any ideas? This is an older version of the board BTW. I've had it sitting in a closet for about 6 months now.
Gonna try to reseat the CPU next to see if that helps...
