Well I have the Logitech X-530's. I'm using Asus's onboard sound, I cant seem to get them to work unless I set it to 8 channel surround, and once I do, only The Center, Sub, and 2 rear's work. I believe this is a problem with the Asus onboard sound, because I couldnt get my headphones to work, any suggestions?

It sounds (pun intended :D ) like you don't have the speakers correctly plugged in, or perhaps a driver issue. Check connections and update drivers.
 
In my opinion You should buy new sound-card :D becouse your Asus integrated sound-card on board perhaps is failture ;)
 
All connections are proper, all drivers updated. Untill I get this fixed, I'm using my old Live! 24bit 5.1 card :O. Sigh... I might just get an X-fi
 
Is there a front panel speaker jack connector pin block on the motherboard? If so, you may want to read your manual and see if it requires jumpers or connections in place in order for the rear jacks to operate. That is usually how they route headphone signals to the front panel connectors and nothing on the pins can result in an open circuit to the front speakers jack on the rear of the board.


Oh yea...just buy a good sound card and be done with it!!!

Hmm, that is a good question I'm using an a8n-sli prem, I hope not because The front panel connectors are wayyy to short, to go over my vid card.
