Well my dad has a pretty old machine( 466mhz celeron, 196 ram, voodoo 3 3000), and he saw fit to upgrade it. He put in a new card, radeon 64md ddr (thats what its called!), and now the display wont shot up. WHen u turn on the machine, it gives a slightly long beep followed by 2 more beeps. Anyone have an idea whats going on with that?

video card not seated right?? did you try putting the old card back in and see if it works?

also, what agp is the radeon? (dont think it will matter, but just in case)

well, it could be a number of things.... the beep sounds are a warning sound from the motherboard BIOS that says that it cannot initalize the card,,could be the psu, the mobo isnt compatible with the vid card, or the vid card isnt placed properly

i tried switchin it back to to the old one, still a little beepy. let me mess with it some more
