Problems with acrylic case.

I have an clear acrylic case and it didnt come with a screw pack or anything. The plastic is like an inch think so I need longer screws to mount everything. The screws that came with my psu are too short to mount it in this case. I also need longer screws to mount my hard drives, optical drives, and everything like that. This is a real pain in the ass.

Where can I get these screws? Should I just go to home depot with the scew and see if they have one longer? I really dont know what to do here I cant put this PC together if I dont have any screws and I have no idea where to get them.

Someone please help.
 
try IMing a guy named DarthBeavis here on the forums. that guy makes a lot of builds out of DD acrylic cases and may be able to help you. other than that i would say the best thing to do is take one of each thing you need to the hardware store and ask them to help you match them in a longer screw. much easier than trying to find everything online and then getting 1/10 wrong and having to send them back and get different ones etc etc. are you sure you need longer ones? if they just screw into the acrylic then youre fine. if they go through the acrylic and into a nut on the otheer side then yse you need longer screws.
 
Arent all the screws used on computer cases metric? If so, most hardware stores (I know HD doesnt) dont carry metric... only automotive places will.

1" thick acrylic? My god, thats one expensive & heavy case. 25mm acrylic is almost $1000 for a 4'x8' sheet... good for fish tanks in the 3-4' tall range and bullet proof glass.
 
any hardware store worth entering will have metric as well. otherwise find a new hardware store. the mom n pop ones with a huge section of Midwest Fasteners are the best. an i assume the case is a Dannger Den? they make ridiculous acrylic cases. i didnt know they were that thick though. i thought like 1cm or so. :eek:
 
Its not quite 1" thick. Its a logisys acrylic case. Its thick acrylic and and standard length screws thats are meant for metal cases dont even stick through the hole all the way. Home depot has 6-32 screws but they dont carry m4 screws at all, let alone longer ones. I just think its odd that they wouldnt include a pack of screws with a case this isnt standard like that. Am I just suppoised to have the right size screws laying around?
