On vista 64-bit, and an ASUS P5N32-E Plus.

Installed it as instructed - several times now. I get no audio when plugging my cheapo headphones into the card itself, but do get audio when I put my little onboard sound thing in and plug into that, despite having uninstalled it.

It's detected in device manager and audio devices in the control panel, but whenever I go to open the software I get a "audio device supported by this application is not detected" message, and if I take the motherboard's card out I get no sound.

It is seated properly.

Some original driver CDs have a time bombed driver that wont work now.
You need to download the latest driver from their website if this is the case.
Beware, its 150MB and took me 15hrs to get it at 2.5K/s !!
They refused to answer any questions about why it is so slow.

Use the newest drivers off the site. they fixed that a while ago. the drivers on the cd was time bombing. Most likey because too many people are Dling or its your connection at that time of the day.

Because it was speedy for me.

Thanks, i'll give it a try. Whatever time bombing is, it's shit and I hate it.
