Problems with 6800 GT flash

I used the flash guide on this site and used the supplied bios with the 1.4 volts and the GT clock speeds (350/1000) and i can OC to Ultra speeds and it works beautifully. I just wanted to have the clock speeds set in the bios so i never have to worry about overclocking when i format and things like that. I take the same file and edit it with "OmniExtremeEdit FX" and i change the clock speeds to what i need, then flash the card with that bios. When i reboot, it works just fine, no problems. The problem is when i run rthdribl the computer chunks hardcore and i cant move the mouse for about 30 seconds then it seems to render 1 frame and chunk again, during this chunking the mouse doesnt move or anything. The funny thing is when i take this same flash and enable OCing, and set it to Ultra speeds (400/1100), it works fine!

Anyone know how to fix this problem?

Not a clue. But if you can find a work around for it is really a big deal? I've got mine OCed to 425/1100 and I've never had to reset or anything like that. Only when I install new drivers.

No, its really not a big deal at all. It will just save me the time and effort next time i format or install new drivers...i research all this shit about flashing and OCing, which in 6 months when i format i wont really remember the specifics, you know what i mean?

i agree, if i had 6800gt or x800pro vivo i would rather flash it to 6800ultra/x800pro. (if they can o/c stable at that level). its hassel o/c it with software. n in many occasions u do get the benefit from bios from higher end cards.
try flashin it with 6800ultra bios, u can always flash back if it doesnt work.
