Sorry if I'm posting in the wrong section, I didn't see a troubleshooting thread. I have a 6 month old 3870x2. A couple weeks ago I started having an issue where the display driver would stop responding and then recover. Over the past couple of days it has gotten worse. When playing age of conan it will happen every 3-5 minutes. I re-installed vista ultimate 64bit, did all the updates including SP1, and put in the newest ATI drivers. I'm having the exact same issue. It also happens in crysis and 3dmark06. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

Creative x-fi extremegamer
Sapphire 3870x2 running latest ATI driver

What kind of temperatures are you seeing? You may be overheating during intense gaming. I set my fan at 40% constant using RivaTuner on my X2.

Temps were around 80 degrees. I set the fan to %80 with rivatuner, temps went down to high 50's but I had the same problem. I'm thinking the card might have overheated and has been damaged slowly over time... Might have to RMA the card.
