Problems w/ surround sound - ABIT NF7-S

Hey,

My mobo is a Abit NF7-S and I'm using the integrated sound. I have ALTEC Lansing 5.1 speakers, but when I try to configure 5.1 sound using the speaker wizard I end up with sound coming out the wrong speakers. My left front and right front receive white noise okay, but when it says its sending white noise to the center speaker it comes out the left rear speaker. When it says testing left rear speaker it comes out the center speaker. And when it says testing right rear speaker theres no sound at all. When it tests the sub the sound comes out the right rear speaker.

Argh

Any help would be appreciated

Read the manual. Make sure your plugs are right.

i have the same problem.. plugs are fine
and where they need to be

Try using Nvswap. It lets you remap the outputs.

Did you check the plugs into your speakers?

I had this problem too when I was hooking up my Z560s (4.1). The problem is that the colored plugs on the speakers don't match the colored inputs on the mobo. I can't remember exactly what the colors were, but I just kept plugging in the plugs into the different inputs till it worked.
