I joined this forum about 10 days ago and have silently been reading everything. I am a person with some very serious hard drive problems. From the resources of the knowledgeable persons here, I have repaired, (no joke), 9 hard drives destined for the dumpster and my filing chapter 13. I thank you all a LOT!!! One left though. It is a Maxtor 200GB that did nothing (dead except spin), after following advice here it now seems fine except the NTLDR will not go away. Loads a new system up until time to actually begin loading and all stops. I did get one with the same problem going, but this one doesn't want to co-operate. Any ideas? Once again, thanks guys. Salvage
