Ok, Im convinced ie6 sucks. Hard. I'm making a website for a friend of mine:

www.artofali.com/index.htm

Everything works just fine and dandy in firefox. I get the site live and realize to my horror that it has some very nettlesome problems in ie6. For one every time you click a link the entire page flashes black along with a noticeable blackness for the button selected. Makes no sense. I designed it in fireworks/dreamweaver and tested it in firefox. I'm sure this blackness is far more noticeable on 56k.

Another good one is how the javascript open links (under the writing section which uses iframes) work in firefox but not in internet explorer.

First of all -- kudos on the site -- I really like it! As for the weird blackness during image loads on IE, perhaps you could use some kind of image preloader of sorts as it seems to only have a problem on the first load -- if you go back once the images have been loaded it seems fine.

btw: Holy shit. = friend w/skillz :)

yeah he really knows his stuff, thx for the advice. I ended up going back and using iframes for all the links.
