Problems enabling Crossfire

This is my first post in Hard Forums. I am attempting to set up two x1650 PROs in Crossfire mode and I haven't had any luck so far. Catalyst 6.8 seems to be the only newest driver that supports the ATI 3200 chipset. It was also the driver packaged on the gecube install CD. The first time I installed the 2nd graphics card, CCC recognized that I had two GPUs, but gives me a warning that I have to connect the "interconnect cable from the CF Editon to the CF Ready...". The obvious problem is that the x1650PRO card do not use any interconnect cables for Crossfire. I tried unintalling the drivers and reinstalling and I still get the same message. I tried Driver Cleaner and followed instructions with no results. I also updated the mobo BIOS to ver 0602 from the asus site. Both pci-express slots are enabled to x16. I don't understand why Catalyst would give me this message. I know that the x1650XTs use the interconnect cable (aka Crossfire bridge), but not the x1650PROs. According to the 2 available Crossfire charts on ati.com, this setup should work. Am I looking at the wrong places? Thank you.

What POWER SUPPLY are you using ? Sorry, I didn't have my glasses on !
Yeah, you should be able to push it with that. One card should be CROSSFIRE EDITION and one should be CROSSFIRE READY.

X1650PRO do not use the Crossfire Ready and Crossfire Edition setup. The X1650PRO use native Crossfire, software Crossfire, and communicate by PCI express lanes at full x16 speed on the A8r32 MVP Deluxe mobo. (at least, it's supposed to) But I can't get it to work :(

Any ideas from those who own the 3200 express chipset? Catalyst 6.12 should be coming out soon, hopefully it will fully support the chipset/gpu combo. Anybody else try x1600pros or x1650pros in Crossfire mode?
