I recently sold a GTX 670 on eBay and the buyer is having trouble with his system after hooking it up. I'm trying to help him out and get his system back up and running. Unfortunately I've run out of ideas, so I'm looking for some assistance.
Cliffs:
-System was running fine prior to receiving 2nd card.
-Hooked up 2nd card in SLI, powered up and heard a beep from the mobo and the system shut down.
-Turned off the power supply, checked connections and double checked to make sure everything was connected properly. Turned on the PSU and tried again...nothing. No beep, no signal to monitor
-Green light on the mobo that indicates that there is power running through the system is on, but no red lights are coming from the mobo.
-Took out 2nd card and reverted to original configuration - still nothing
Action taken:
- Original setup
- Cleared CMOS (Battery pull)
- Is currently checking PSU by shorting green and black. Will get back to me once complete
Specs:
Asus Sabertooth z77
i7-3770S
gtx 670 4gb
16GB (4 x 4GB)
500gb hdd
corsair 650watt
Sony BDU-X10S Internal SATA Blu-ray BD-ROM Drive
windows 7
