I've just upgraded my computer recently, and just now developed a problem with my old system.

I have an old Athlon XP 1800+ running on an EPoX 8KTA3, which was working fine up until now. It was running fine, and I went into BIOS to change the FSB. The computer failed to boot up afterwards, and I assumed it was just too high.

I cleared the CMOS, and tried again. No boot. Tried all 4 jumpers on the board in different positions. All of my attempts to get the computer to boot up has failed. The 7-LED BIOS code indicator said 'C1' where it would no longer boot. 'Auto-detection of onboard DRAM & Cache.

Help. I'm broke after buying my new computer and I can't afford to replace this.

The ram was good up until this point, and I can't replace it. Just some PC133.

The video card is still good.

Other processors do not work in it.

I'm assuming that it's the mobo.
 
I would try either unpluging the psu from the wall and clearing the cmos, or better, hit the killswitch in the back, wait 10 seconds, click it over then see if it powers up.

If that doesnt work swap the psu (since you dont have ram) And if that doesnt work, then you know for sure whats up.
 
I've tried all of that ..

Crap man, I really didn't want to have to buy a new mobo.
 
You might be able to try your luck my a refurbished MOBO from NewEgg.
You can get an Asus for ~$35
