Problem

Alright, I have some PC parts sitting around that I got back from a faggot who dissasembled them and crap....long story short, I got them back in pieces. Everything was together (as in parts in one piece), however, I hooked everything up (hard drive, video card, power supply, and mobo etc), and I hooked a power thing up to it so I could turn it on. Well, the fans started spinning on the video card, power supply, the northbridge fan...they kept starting to spin and stuff, but stopped...all but the CPU fan...I kept pressing the power button, and it started up (fans and all)...however, the CPU fan didn't spin...it started to sorta, but stuttered a bit...

The PSU is a 500W, and these parts aren't necessarily new, but what do you think the problem could be?

Thanks!!!

What do i think it could be?

Um. . . the CPU fan maybe?

Doesn't sound serious if it's only the CPU fan that's showing signs of something wrong.

Older parts, bearings fail, shit happens. If you have another cooler try that, or better yet plug a different fan into the CPU fan header and see if that spins. If it does then you can consider the problem isolated to the CPU fan and not the fan header, nor the PSU, nor the mainboard.

I would think so anyway.

I don't get the last part lol, but thanks...I don't think it is the cooler...the parts aren't really old, they just aren't new parts (as in Core2Duo and such)...the cooler was new and bought from Newegg. I willt try that, but like I said, it takes me pressing the power button 6 times or so before the fans even fully spin on everything else...and nothing shows up on the monitor either.
