Hey everyone, whats up? I have had my X1900XTX for a week now and i love it! I do however have a problem. Im pretty sure its driver related but here goes: I cant hook up my x1900xtx to my tv for the life of me. Im no newb, and have had plenty of cards from both camps with no problems hooking up to my TV before. The 2nd box in the control pannel wont lite up, and when i enable it, it does for 1 sec and goes back to dark. I tricked it by turning off my monitor and rebooting, i saw windows on my tv so i know it works. I just cant get my TV to be the second display device and ive done it a hundred times before. Anyone else have a similiar problem? I think its the drivers as they are moddifeied Cats to work with the first shipped X1900s. I bet all will be ok in the next driver release, cause the newest cats, 6.1 wont install because my cards not supoorted yet.

AMD FX-55 @ 2.9
DFI Ultra-D @ 250 fsb
X1900XTX @ 700/800
2x512 OCZ platimum Rev.2 at 500 1:1
3x80 gig SATA HD in Raid 0

I would wait for the driver refresh. However I have had one card in the past (9700 NP, old i know) that did not work on tv-out.

On a side note, i know its OT, but does your spash screen on you DFI motherboard look like the one in this thread?

I am having this problem with 2 X1X00 series cards, i am try to figure out if it is a DFI/X1X00 issue?

Lol, i AM having that problem. I wanted to say that i KNOW my tv out works, it just wont do it in the drivers. I have seen windows on my TV with my card, i had to fool it though. So, like i said, it works, but i think the drivers are really bad. Wonder what performance will do once the cats officially support the new cards.? The DFI logo is currupted, but i dont really care, i have 3 hard drives in raid 0 and it takes about 5 seconds from the time i push power till im in windows.......my monitor doesnt even lite up in time for it.

Attach your main monitor to the other DVI port.

If you use the wrong one, TV-out isn't working correctly.

Great call, that did the trick. I switched the monitor to the other DVI slot and instantly the second display works. Great! Thanks!

Good call!

Well, strange enough i had to find this out by myself. I couldn't get the TV-out to work either 2 months ago with my new X1800XT. I started topics @ Driverheaven, Rage3D and here, but nobody knew an answer. It's also not there in the manual.
For a couple of days I thought it was a driver issue untill i switched to the other DVI port after i placed my PC in another room and saw TV-out was working now, it was pure coincidence that i switched DVI ports. :)
