Problem with VMware Workstation 6

I downloaded it from their site, used the serial they sent me via e-mail, and when it tells me to reboot, I do so. Then as I get back into XP, I notice that explorer looks like it stalls. I have no idea what to do beyond this point, so I did system restore and I'm fine now. But VWware still doesn't work. Can any body help me out? Thanks,
