Hey... I just burned off a home video I spent a long time editing and I get a error message from my computer (power DVD software) saying that it can't play my video b/c it has an error and it could be b/c I have a scratch. It always happens at minute number 21 then goes to 22 ... if I start at minute 23 it is fine and plays the rest of the movie without a hitch. Is this a problem when I was making the movie? Should I redo that minute of video? Let me know of any ideas... thanks...

Have you tried burning a 2nd copy (preferably onto another brand blank), or tried playing the disc in another drive/home unit? How about playing the files from the HD with PowerDVD, does that work?

I've tried several different players, computers, software, etc... nothing can get past 21-22 to work... the home dvd player just skips the section by several minutes but then you miss out on some sweet New Zealand footage. I know that I need to just erase and redo that section I guess .... unless you all have a better idea....

Does anyone else use studio 8? I'm up to like 8.10 now and nothing seems to be fixed. The software just sucks. I don't think it is my maching b/c it is more than robust enough to do editing. I don't know why the software gets so doggy/laggy when I'm editing and then when I burn stuff it always has some hick up that wasn't there when I edited. Is there better software out there to use that is kind of a all-in-one capture, edit, burn type for ease of use?
