Problem with Video Card?

I have an ati radeon x1950 pro which up until a week or so ago has worked without issue. However, now whenever I play a game (like GRAW for example) my monitor will shut off after like 10 minutes of play, and I cannot get it to turn back on. Sound still comes through my speakers, however. I am guessing this is an issue with the video card... could it be overheating? Any way I can fix this?

Oh and when I turn the computer off and back on, the monitor still does not come on. I have to wait like 10 minutes before I can turn the computer on and have the monitor display anything
