problem with video card drivers or somethin..

I have a 19 inch CRT Gateway monitor for my old computer and a Geforce 5700 LE... I have to adjust the brightness and contrast to like 100 percent to watch dvd's fine... does any1 know wahts wrong?... I think it has something to do with the drivers though...

for DVDs only?

What program are you using to watch the DVDs?
Try playing with the "Video Overlay Settings" in the NVIDIA settings.
Updating to the latest drivers can't harm either.

No not for DVD's only, for any videos- streaming or downloaded- i have to adjust the brightness to 100 percent and change the contrast to get the best view. Which drivers would you recommend?

Id guess drivers as well....try the latest
