Hey guys, I recently ran into a problem with my sound and I have NO clue why it is doing this... I am using an Abit NF7-S onboard audio with my headphones and all of a sudden the sound has gotten so low that I have to have absolute silence and press the thing up to my ear and I can hear it just barely... Pretty much I have no sound and this is really annoying as I am a heavy gamer and I really need sound back ASAP! Any suggestions on what I shuold do? I thought it might be a driver that I updated so I rolled back a ton of drivers on my audio stuff and reinstalled the drivers that came with it... and still nothing... heeeelp! I don't really want to reformat, but if that is what it comes to I am doing it!

Just a thought. I don't really know, but have you made sure that you had the sound turned up on the software?

ya i checked the control panel, the windows media player volume, my divx player volume, games volume and everything...

Have you tried pluggin in powered desktop speakers? Just to be sure we got tha facts straight, the headphones sounded good one day, then *KAPOW* *BING* *BANG* the next day the audio was almost nil? No recent changes?
