I recently purchased this monitor from NewEgg and it appears to be defective. After using the monitor for about 2 hours or so a light bluegreen vertical line about 1 or 2 pixels wide appeared in the right half of the screen. It does this on the POST/BIOS screen in addition to when the monitor is not even plugged into the computer (DVI) and it is just on the check source screen. Weird thing is that it appears to scale in size with the resolution meaning it appears wider on the BIOS screen than when displaying the native resolution within windows.
I turned the monitor off and let it sit overnight. When I turned it on in the morning, the line was gone for about 15 minutes and then reappeared.
Has anyone had this problem before?
One thing I have not tried, but probably won't help is to try another DVI cable. I don' think this will help because the line still shows up when the monitor is unplugged from the computer.
Last question is whether I should replace this under the Samsung warranty or RMA replacement through NewEGG. I was assured from Samsung that I would get a new monitor and not a refurb one since I hadn't had it for long, but I wonder if I should go with newegg just to be sure. Any idea which would be faster?
Thanks for the help guys.
