Hi All

I'm having alot of trouble getting my ESXI host to work.

My HW:

XEON 1230-v3
Asus P9D WS MB with C226 intel chipset.

I can install ESXI, no problem, but I can't boot it. Not getting any errors during installation or boot. Just a black screen untill it enters my BIOS.

VT-d and Intel Virtualization Technology is enabled.

Any who have ESXI running with a C226 chipset? - Beginning to think thats the problem.

I have tried installing on USB pen and SSD, same result.

I had the exact same motherboard and same problem. I had to follow these instructions to get it to boot after installing: http://wp.secretnest.info/?p=697
I have now tried it, and seemed like I got a bit further, I could connect to it after installation, for downloading tools (couldn't that before), but after a boot it is the same again ;( Jumps into BIOS

Was just me making a mistake, I deleted everything before writing formatwithmbr. So a fault 40 :)

I've had a similar experience with 5.5 being nothing but trouble to get going, been installed on gpt disks with 5/5.1 no problems but had to install to mbr with 5.5 to get it to boot. Odd.
