I need to know how to enable more than 2 connections using remote desktop without going through terminal services.

The problem I am haveing is, I will connect to the server, but the session will time out thus forceing the remote desktop window to close. Then when I try and log back in it wont allow me becuase I think it still thinks I am still connected.

I know the same is true when I tried mapping the network drive. After the connection froze, I tried logging back in to the drive and it said my computer name was already logged in. How do I allow more connections to the server?

It is a Windows 2003 server OS. I am using XP on my workstation.

Are you logging on as Administrator or yourself?

Administrator doesn't have a restricted session count AFAIK.

The place you need to look is start>admin tools>Terminal Services Configruation. In ther you can tab around to set maximum number of connections, who can connect, etc.

If I recall, only 2 administrators can connect to to Win2k3 terminal services. Otherwise, you'll need to buy CAL's for more users.
