Ok I bought a Iphone from someone on the forums here. They said they shipped it, a couple of days later after asking for the tracking number I get a reply saying that the Iphone was bricked and that my money would be refunded the next morning. 3 days pass by with no word then I get an email stating I am getting a Echeck refund which takes another 3 days minimum to process and also the Echeck refund was only half of he amount for the Iphone. The seller said he would be refunding the rest later. My question is what should I demand from the seller for taking 2 weeks to get my money back?

Thats pretty much total BS. File a dispute with paypal now if thats what you used to pay. That is totally unacceptable trading behavior. Hes definitely lieing about something, if he said he shipped it, and then it was bricked? He also should have just done a paypal refund, unless of course he didnt have the funds to pay you back (shock). Leave him negative feedback on heat, and give us his name. Also, if you paid with a CC somehow, call your credit card company and have them do a chargeback. If it were a cheaper item it wouldnt be such a big deal to me, but iPhones arent real cheap.

E-check refunds are when the seller doesn't have funds in their account to cover it.
While it is his fault that the funds aren't there, it's not really his fault that paypal forced him to send an e-check. However, it being half of the amount is bullshit. File a dispute with paypal immediately.

Since funds did trade hands, feedback is warranted.

This person you're dealing with is a POS lier, first they say that they shipped it, then they say it was bricked? So this person NEVER shipped the iphone even tho they stated shipment.

The response of you receving the the rest of the money "later" is way too vague. What does that mean? One day? one week? one month? compelete crap, sounds like this person gona try to string you along for as long as they can. The fact that you're waiting two weeks + how ever long they're going to take for the rest of the money. I would leave this person a negative feedback just for the fact that they lied to you about shipping the product as well as the lack of a full refund.

Here is the emails that I recived from the seller. Including important dates

12/25/2008 - Payment sent

12/27/2008 - i think she shipped out this morning, but I'm at work today and won't be seeing here till sunday morning... anyway I'll find the details once I get home.. Thanks!

12/31/2008 - hi I messed up, my fiancee messed up... she did not shipped the item, her smartass self-proclaimed techie brother flashed the iphone and now it is bricked.. I'll refund you the money, but right now I'm on my way to NYC and I'm sorry for the inconvenience it made me sick when I saw the iphone bricked.... I'm really sorry... I'll refund you tomorrow morning about the money... I'm sorry for the inconvenience and ruining your holiday....

1/3/2009- Half of refund received.

Well thats not quite like you made it out to be, although he still should have refunded all the money at once, with the refund option.

Don't you wait any longer, open dispute if you pay with Paypal.

LMAO..If only it worked that way....

Glad this one worked out.....

I have heard sob stories of PayPal screwing some people,
but they have Yet *knox wud* to leave me hanging when
I received the wrong/broken/no item on deals thru PP :p

I agree, PayPal sometimes may screw people but in general they're good about refunding if the deal was fraud
