Problem with Raid 0 setup, can't pin-point the cause. (corruption)

I have a DFI LanPart 865PE with the SATA Raid controller built-in. I have two Western Digital Raptor 10,000rpm 36GB drives in Raid 0.

My first install I had a raid stripe size of 16k and all was good for about a week. After that pretty much every time I would reboot I would get the scan disk checker along with a crapload of corrupted files.

I re-formatted and am now using a stripe size of 32k, I still get the same issues but it seems every few reboots I get the same corruption. It's not just a simple chkdsk either, I lose important dll files and often have to reload windows. Today it was so bad autochk.exe was missing and I had to run the ASR console to even recover and get into windows. My audio drivers are all gone and I can't open my computer. :D

A part of me wants to RMA the drives but I am a little worried it could be the controller itself. Has anyone had these issues before with a raid 0 setup?

First thing I would try is to check the memory you have installed.

The second thing I would do is to run the MFG's diagonstics disk on both of those drives and see if and which one of them might be dying.

Then here is one of Ice Czar's links you might want to read.

I have had data corruption problems with a Raid0 setup. I had two WD 7200 drives installed. One was starting to dye. It would break the stripe and corrupt data. But it passed the MFG test long enough for me to have to reload the OS 3 times in a month.
