problem with POSTing/booting up into windows

ok, I just moved my IDE hard drive down to the lower rack because Im getting a new 160GB SATA drive... after I did all that, I put it back together, and tried to turn it on, it wouldnt post...

I took the heatsink off, reapplied paste, put it back together, still wouldnt post. I checked everywhere for small things that could have shorted it out, didnt find anything...

I dont get any beep codes even if I try to make it beep...

I take my AGP card out, no beeps.

memory out, no beeps.

I had this problem before, and I had to RMA the board and memory to get it working again..I dont really feel like sending my board back, is there any way to fix this?

idk what to do now... im so mad, it wont turn on, and I have a 160GB HDD coming on tuesday :(

Did you try resetting CMOS? Should be the first thing to do when you have no idea what's wrong.

Also, did you try booting with only the essentials? No drives, 1 stick of memory, CPU/hsf, video card, PSU, motherboard.
 
tried both already, still nothing.... I even tried 1 of each of my sticks of ram....

no luck....

im already thinking about RMAing the board and memory again.... *sigh*

but im still looking for some help,dont think Ive quit yet, send some more responses..... RMA is a last resort for me
 
Try taking it all apart and putting it back together again. I've been in your situation before and that seemed to have fixed it. *shrugs*
 
maybe by moving the harddrive you might have unseated the videocard. take out the card and reseat it.also make sure that all of the power plugs are in place. do you get any lights that turn on or any harddrive and/or drive activity? when you opened the computer did you unplug everything? make sure that the power for the PSU is switched to "ON" and that the power plug for the monitor and PSU didnt come unplugged. i know these are some what ridiculous questions but ive found myself missing the obvious sometimes too. even if something seems unlikely try it anyways.
 
its plugged in... I said, it powers on, and just sits there like a rock....

I just took the mobo out of the case, disassembled everything, still no luck...

all the stupidly easy things to fix this problem I did already, im soo confused.... idk where to start to look to try and fix this...
