First of all my rig:

Abit IP35-E
2Gb ram 800mhz 4-4-4-12 and 1gb 5-5-5-15
Chieftec 450w
Cooling - Scythe Mugen 2

I tried reaching 3,4Ghz at these settings:

CPU Core Voltage - 1,5200
DDR Voltage - 2.0V
CPU VTT Voltaeg 1.2375
ICH 1,60
MCH 1,33
CPU GTLREF - 67%
Ram 5-5-5-15

And I always almost intantly get

FATAL ERROR: Rounding was 8.796093022e+012, expected less than 0.4
Hardware failure detected, consult stress.txt file.
at worker 2.

I pulled the slower ram module away and set:

3,2ghz
Timings - default
CPU Core Voltage - 1,36
DDR Voltage - 2.1V
CPU VTT Voltage 1.2375
ICH 1,5
MCH 1,33
CPU GTLREF - 67%

And after a bit more than 1h I got:
FATAL ERROR: Rounding was 0.5, expected less than 0.4
Hardware failure detected, consult stress.txt file. again at worker 2.

I set everythink like above except:

3.0Ghz
Vtt - ~1,3
MCH - 1,41

And Core 2 failed after ~1hour 20mins giving me the same error. I've played games and stuff and all seems to be stable. Is it normal that sometimes one core fails but it won't affect the system itself? I mean not always my CPU is on full load for 1h...

well for stability most people would find a spot where they were getting no errors, perform some additional tests (occt linpack), and go from there. having said that, some people will run their cpu at speeds where they know it has errors, but they re ok with that because 'its fine when I game' and other reason like that.

its up to you how you want to go about it. then again if you didn't care about the results, why bother running the tests anyway? if its not crashing in what you play now, that does not mean it won't crash later on another game or app.

try resetting everything to defaults in the bios then adjust the bus speed to 333 (3.0 ghz). leave everything on auto and see how it goes, its easy to change more shit then you need and actually cause a problem.

What did you set your fsb to? My ip35-pro didn't like anything near 400. I had to run at like 370ish fsb to get 3.2 ghz with 9x multiplier. I switched to a gigabyte ep45 and it let's me hit 3.6 ghz without breaking a sweat.

I set fsb 333x9 (3,0ghz). Oh and I thought it was my ram but I left memtest for all night and had no errors.

I tried running 3,0Ghz with default settings (only fsb at 333) and it failed after a little more than 3h. Which is weird considering the fact that with bumped up voltages it didn't last that long... Got to check it again.
