Problem with new pc

Ok well,my friend bought a new pc right. well it keeps beeping from bio's and i took it all apart and back together, it just keeps giving me long beeps and the 9500 pro beeps since it has that feature on the card for when it overheats but i ...tested all the parts on my own pc but the motherboard and the CPU and the 3d card works fine...on the cpu warranty when i bought it had 60 days and it said void if you put any artic silver on it and hopefully its not the problem. it beeps forever there is no number of beeps.
everything is plugged in i made sure the heatsink and everything where installed right.

its running a

AMD Athlon XP 2500+
Gigabyte GA-7N400-L
Tyan Tachyon 9500 Pro
512MB Genaric pc3200 ram (i tryed my golden dragon on it still dident work)
80GB Seagate 7200rpm
Sony 24x CD rom
Cheap Case with built in 400w powersupply

whether that's the problem or not, you should think about replacing it with a good name-brand PSU
 
My only advice to you is to strip the computer completely bare, with only a mobo, ram, and video card in it, and then start switching in components.

Since you're obviously typing from a computer now, switch components from your working computer with the suspect components to find out which 1 (hopefully only 1) is defective.
 
yes ive did all that but i havent did the MB or CPU since i dont have anything else to test them with...he useing the AMD and im on a P4..is there anytype of LED wires that would do this.
