Installed my Raptor today and according to the BIOS it is installed properly and working. When in windows I have no way to view the drive. I am trying to make this drive my boot drive and install windows on it, what am I missing here to get that done? I am on WinXP home, MB is an Asus P4PE with onboard raid controller that I had to enable just to get the drive recognized in the bios. Any advice?

hmmmmm I just followed the leads through BIOS. I haven't formatted anything as far as I know. How would I go about initiating that?

disconnect the other drives
set your boot order in the BIOS to CDROM first
boot to the install CD > partition and install
when prompted to load other SCSI drivers press F6 and install the SATA driver

Thanks guys. Finally figured it out that I had to go about formatting it first. duh I went to the WD website FAQ and dl'ed a little formatting and copying program that pretty much did it all for me. Entered bios and diabled the eide drive from booting and now it boots from the Raptor. It is a nice improvement over my old, easily noticeably faster tham my Seagate barracuda. Thanks for the help as always.
