Here is the situation :

I had a 7950gx2 working fine under XP, connected to my 1080P Sharp Aquos TV. XP was running fine at 1920 x 1080, 60hz, 1080P.

I've then replaceed the video card with a brand new eVGA 8800 Ultra. Plugged the same way to my Aquos TV.

Power UP the PC, and see my PC booting, but the picture is shaking a little, looks like a sync problem.

Install the new 8800 drivers in XP, everything works fine in 720p and 1080i, but as soon as I try 1080P, the picture is shaking again, blinking, etc.. totally unusable.

What could be wrong?

indeed, your refresh rate is likely set to 30Hz (1080i) and not 60Hz (1080p).

I tried 30hz, 59hz and 60hz.

I can't try anything above 60hz because there is no option for that.

My trouble is happening during bootup as well (before XP load) so I think this could be BIOS related.
